What is the Free 6-Week Learn Persian Bootcamp?

It’s a 6-week guided program starting March 23rd where you’ll receive weekly assignments you can complete on your own schedule. Each assignment helps you:

Learn conversational Persian (everyday words and phrases you’ll actually use)
Build the basics of reading and writing in Persian
Explore Iranian culture through music, poetry, and stories

This Nowruz, we’re also studying a poem by Sohrab Sepehri together — one of the most beloved poems in modern Persian.

Who is it for?

Everyone. Complete beginners have a clear track. Students with some Persian have a deeper track. And returning members can pick up where they left off.

Our students include heritage learners reconnecting with the language, partners of Iranians learning to communicate with family, and anyone drawn to Persian culture — the cooking, the music, the poetry. Whatever brought you here, you belong.

When is it?

The bootcamp runs for 6 weeks starting Monday, March 23rd, 2026. New assignments are released every Monday.

All lessons are prerecorded, so you complete them whenever works for you. Live sessions are optional and always recorded.

Where does it happen?

Everything takes place on the Chai and Conversation website. Once you activate your membership, you’ll have access to all course materials, the community space, and live session links — all in one place.

How does it work?

Each Monday you receive an email with your weekly assignment. You work through the lessons at your own pace — about 15–20 minutes a day, or 1–2 hours per week.

There are optional live sessions for practice and connection. At the end of six weeks, if you complete all assignments, you earn a Certificate of Completion.

Highly recommend! Learning a new language from the very beginning can be intimidating, and the Learn Persian Bootcamp is amazing because it's very flexible and makes learning approachable for beginners. I enjoyed the short 15 minute podcasts, and would listen to them on the way to and from work. There are also so many resources through Chai and Conversation, and I loved that the learning was conversational rather than focused on grammar or rules. Very engaging and a great way to learn!
